Our History

Semezana Global Kenya ( SGK ) which simply means in english" let's speak to each other" was founded in the year 2019 Nyando -Kisumu county Kenya , in response to local issues/ needs .The idea for the organization came from Sarah Ndondi ( a nurse with long years of hospital and community experiences )and Dr. Emmanuel Wangila ( pharmacist) who were deeply moved by the challenges faced by the local community — including , Health, population and reproductive health, water and sanitation, Environment and climate change, human rights, health among other's.

Motivated by a desire to bring positive change, the founders began by organizing small community meetings and grassroots campaigns. With the support of local volunteers Semezana Global Kenya was officially registered as a public benefit organization on 11'th April 2023 ( registration number OP.218/051/22-414/12972.

Today, semezana Global Kenya continues to work closely with other local public benefit organizations & local communities, advocating for sustainable development and inclusive growth. Its success stands as a testament to the power of community-led initiatives and the vision of its founders.
